I bought a braend new camera from walmart speciffically for LASR. spec are attached. So i get the software installed and running and set the taret, calibrated all good. click start and do some test shots but it only picks up 1 out 8 shots. camera is stable on a tripod. I have to hold the laser steady on the target for it to register. I'm using a microsoft surface for my testing. should i try something else? different camera? Any help would be appreciated.

Mine is a new installation of LASR Classic. I have a similar issue. I've tried adjusting lighting, detection threshold, target area, a variety of targets, the angle of the camera, the angle of the sight line, and a few more things. Nothing seems to make much difference. I have noticed that shots will be detected on lighter areas of the target where there is no shading but not on dark areas like the bulls eye, or even a gray area.
